Statement of CIPA Compliance
CornerPost Software certifies that its ChaperonT family of Internet filtering and management products meet and exceed the qualifications to be considered "technology protection measures" as defined by the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) that was signed into law December 21, 2000.
All Chaperon products protect against access by adults and minors to visual depictions that "are obscene, child pornography, or - with respect to use of computers with Internet access by minors - harmful to minors." In addition, all Chaperons may be disabled for the purpose of "adults engaged in bona fide research or other lawful purposes." Chaperon's monitoring capabilities not only allow for "monitoring the online activities of minors," but they also go much further. Chaperon's patented notification system can alert administrators to inappropriate Internet access via email in what is nearly real time.
The Chaperon family includes ChaperonT for Proxy 2.0, Chaperon 2000T for ISA, and Chaperon 2000 for Proxy 2.0. The information provided above is for the purpose of administrators filling out Form 479 which can be found on the USAC website at:
